Rubberlite Gaskets
Rubberlite is an industry leader in cellular rubber and custom-engineered polyurethane foams, with a portfolio that spans closed cell sponge, open cell polyurethane, viscoelastic foams, and flexible composite systems.Rubberlite operates under an ISO 9001:2015 certified quality management system and maintains A2LA-accredited laboratory capabilities. Their products are widely used in automotive, industrial, electronics, aerospace, HVAC, medical, and consumer applications.
Gasket and Seal Fabricators stocks and fabricates Rubberlite materials across their core product lines, including HyPUR-cel® polyurethane foams, Visco-cel® viscoelastic foams, and the full SCE series of closed cell sponge rubber. Every material listed below is available as raw roll or sheet stock, or as custom-fabricated gaskets and die-cut parts.
SCE Series
The SCE series is Rubberlite’s flagship line of closed-cell sponge rubber for gasketing and sealing applications.
Each grade is a tri-blend of neoprene, EPDM, and SBR polymers, engineered to balance the strengths of all three elastomers: EPDM contributes ozone, sunlight, and oxidation resistance; neoprene adds oil and weather resistance; and SBR brings cost-effective processability.
The SCE series is rated for service temperatures from –40°F to +200°F and meets applicable UL standards, including UL 157, UL 50, UL 508, and UL 94 HF-1 flammability requirements.
SCE41B
Soft density (4–8 lb/ft³)
Best suited for low closure force gasketing, cushioning, and vibration isolation where maximum conformability is needed.
SCE43B
Firm density (7–11 lb/ft³)
Designed for applications requiring higher compression resistance and sealing force across environmental enclosures and equipment housings.
SCE42B
Medium soft density (4–8 lb/ft³)
A versatile general-purpose grade for indoor and outdoor gasketing, sealing, and cushioning applications.
SCE45B
Extra firm density (11–15 lb/ft³)
The highest-density grade in the SCE line, intended for heavy-duty gasketing applications requiring increased closure force and dimensional stability.
HyPUR-cel® Polyurethane Foams
HyPUR-cel® is Rubberlite’s proprietary line of microcellular open-cell polyurethane foams, consisting of five distinct product families engineered for different performance requirements. All HyPUR-cel foams are produced using a solvent-free, blowing-agent-free nucleation technology that results in breathable, dimensionally stable foams with excellent compression set resistance. HyPUR-cel foams can be customized with flame retardants, anti-microbial additives, firmness modifications, and color development, and are available laminated with fabrics or pressure-sensitive adhesive.
I-Series
Exceptional high-temperature compression set performance. Designed for demanding gasket and sealing applications where long-term dimensional stability under heat and compression is critical.
R-Series
High resilience and energy return with very low hysteresis loss. A preferred material for gasketing, die ejection, and other applications requiring consistent elastic recovery under repeated loading.
S-Series
Highly elastic, breathable foam with outstanding elongation and tear resistance. Primarily used in comfort and wearable applications, but also suitable for flexible seals and soft gaskets.
T-Series
A cost-effective, general-purpose open cell polyurethane foam available in a broad range of densities and firmness options. Well suited for industrial gasketing, automotive, and flexographic printing applications.
V-Series (HD & LD)
Viscoelastic polyurethane foams with slow recovery and low resiliency, designed for vibration isolation, shock absorption, cushioning, and impact protection. (V-Series HD offers higher density and faster recovery, V-Series LD provides softer cushioning at lower density.)
Closed Cell Neoprene Sponge (C-Series)
Rubberlite’s C-Series neoprene sponge grades (C41NEO through C45NEO) provide a straight neoprene (polychloroprene) closed cell option for applications requiring flame resistance, moderate oil resistance, and good weathering performance. Available in a range of densities from soft to extra firm, C-Series neoprene sponge is commonly used in HVAC, electrical enclosures, automotive, and marine gasketing applications.
Visco-cel® Viscoelastic Foams
Visco-cel® is Rubberlite’s line of medium- to high-density viscoelastic polyurethane foams. These slow-recovery foams provide controlled energy absorption and pressure distribution, and are commonly used in medical devices, electronics damping pads, ergonomic products, and packaging applications. Visco-cel is available laminated with fabrics or adhesive backing for ready-to-fabricate convenience.
Closed Cell Nitrile (NBR) Sponge
Rubberlite’s closed cell nitrile sponge grades (C41NBR through C43NBR) deliver excellent resistance to oils, fuels, and petroleum-based fluids in a closed cell construction. Nitrile sponge is the preferred choice for gaskets and seals exposed to hydrocarbon environments where the broader chemical resistance of nitrile rubber is needed beyond what neoprene or blended sponge can provide.
Additional Converted Materials
Beyond their proprietary foam lines, Rubberlite converts and distributes a broad range of cellular rubber and plastic materials including EPDM sponge, Ensolite® PVC/Nitrile foam, cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE), and EVA foam. These materials round out Rubberlite’s offering for applications that require specific chemical resistance, temperature performance, or compliance characteristics beyond what their core sponge and polyurethane products provide.
